Two more aftershocks were felt yesterday in the heart of Winston-Salem.
The U.S. Geological Survey saying aftershocks can happen weeks after a sizeable earthquake.

Jessica Michelle Sykes, a student at North Surry High School, died from injuries suffered in an automobile accident that happened on Tuesday. The Highway patrol saying that speed and wet road conditions contributed to the accident. She was 17 years old. (WXII)
Two major medical facilities in Winston-Salem will be going tobacco –free in 2007. Both Forsyth Medical Center and Wake Forest University-Baptist Medical center have been smoke-free for interior spaces for about ten years, but did allow smoking in certain areas near the main entrances. The Defense Department saying that a plan to re-mobilize some Marine reserve units back to Iraq…will start in 2008. The plan should lessen some of the growing strain on active-duty Marines. The Marines have 24 active-duty combat battalions. At any given time, nine of them are in Iraq. (CBS news)
Nissan is recalling more than 80,000 vehicles in the US produced between August 2004 and July 2006 because of an ignition key defect. The recalls involve only the cars with "intelligent keys." (AP)
A ‘terror threat’ posted on a website claiming that seven NFL stadiums will be hit with radioactive ‘dirty bombs’ this weekend is NOT believed credible. The Department of Homeland Security have warned 7 major US cities (including Houston, New York, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Oakland and Cleveland) that their stadiums had been included in the threat. A newly restored World War II B-17 bomber will be in the Triad over the weekend just in time for the 23rd Annual BBQ Festival in Lexington.
The restored "Liberty Belle" is one of (14) B-17s still flying today.
