Breaking News: In a deal brokered by the FDIC, Citigroup will acquire Wachovia’s banking operations. Under the agreement, Citigroup will acquire Wachovia's massive deposit network, as well as over $300 billion worth of Wachovia's loan portfolio and the company's debt. Charlotte bassed Wachovia is the nation’s 4th largest bank.
