Tropical Storm Bonnie, the latest named storm in the Atlantic, will move into the eastern Gulf of Mexico over the next 24 hours. Bonnie is not expected to strengthen into a hurricane before making landfall near Louisiana late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

FYI: 12 years ago, another storm named 'Bonnie' made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane. Hurricane Bonnie hit the southern North Carolina Coast, near Wilmington, on August 26, 1998.
