Christopher Laurie, the son of Harvest Pastor Greg Laurie, died in a car accident yesterday in Southern California. Christopher was 33.
Christopher Laurie is survived by his wife, Brittany, and his daughter, Stella.

Maurice "Mo" Green has been selected as the new superintendent of Guilford County Schools. Green was the deputy superintendent and chief operating officer of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
Green replaces Dr. Terry Grier, who accepted a superintendent position in San Diego. Green will start the position in September.

Roughly 17 months ago, Police Sgt. Howard Plouff was shot while attempting to restore order at the Red Rooster bar in Winston-Salem. He died later that night – Feb. 23, 2007.
