Hundreds of people flocked to City Hall last night in support of praying in the name of Jesus at governmental meetings in the Twin City. -Area pastors called for a peaceful gathering last night in Winston-Salem for the City Council meeting. -The City of Winston-Salem had received a complaint from the ACLU asking the City to require that local Pastors agree to NOT use the name of "Jesus" or any other specific deity when praying to open City Council meetings.
-Mayor Allan Joines said that the Council members would discuss the prayer issue with city attorney Ron Seeber. No action was taken last night. (journalnow.com, Fox 8, WXII)

The search is still on…for two of the 3 climbers still missing on Mount Hood in Oregon. The body of one of the 3 climbers missing for over a week was identified yesterday…as Kelly James of Dallas, Texas. (usaradionews)

The final decision on a final resting place for Billy and Ruth Graham will be made by the couple. The announcement was apparently sparked by a recent report the family is feuding over the burial site of the Grahams. The 88-year-old Graham issued the statement from the Mayo Clinic where he is receiving treatments for age-related macular degeneration, which has affected his eyesight and ability to read. The Washington Post reported last week that Ned Graham, the couple's youngest son, opposes burying his parents on the grounds of a museum under construction in Charlotte. (AP)

Officials and doctors in the Pacific Northwest say that they are "dealing with a carbon monoxide epidemic." At least 100 people have developed symptoms of exposure to carbon monoxide since the winds knocked out power to more than a 1 million homes and businesses late last week in Oregon and Washington. Like many in the Washington-Oregon area left without power after the storm, many families are running generators or using gas grills inside their homes. There have been 14 fatalities associated with last week's fierce windstorm in the Northwest. (CNN)

Joseph Barbera, half of the Hanna-Barbera animation team that produced such beloved cartoon characters as Tom and Jerry, Yogi Bear and the Flintstones, passed away on Monday. Barbera was 95. (CNN)
