Rescuers will try to continue their search again today for three climbers stranded on Oregon's Mount Hood. The search was suspended on Monday because of heavy snow and wind. One of the missing climbers (using his cell phone) called his mother on Sunday to say he was stranded in a snow cave and that his two companions had gone for help. Authorities were able to pick up a signal from the cell phone but bad weather is slowing the search. A Winter Storm watch is forecasted through later today. (usaradionews)

The city's finance committee met yesterday to discuss the proposed plans of a downtown minor-league baseball stadium in Winston-Salem.
Officials and private developers last week announced plans for a $22 million dollar…5,5-hundred seat baseball stadium next to Business 40 on First and Broad streets. The full city council is expected to vote on the proposal Jan 3. (journalnow.com , WXII)

The cause of the Taco Bell E. coli outbreak is still a mystery. Health officials say that test results from hundreds of samples of green onions have come back negative. Investigators are still wondering what specific food item has made at least 64 people sick after eating at Taco Bell restaurants Besides testing vegetables, the CDC and the FDA are examining cheese used at Taco Bell restaurants. Up-date from a story we covered yesterday:
Christmas trees that were taken down over the weekend at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington State…well, now they are going back up.
Airport officials (fearing a lawsuit) took down the Christmas trees. A Rabbi had requested that an 8 foot tall Jewish menorah be added to the holiday decorations at the airport.
Port authorities said that everyone involved (including the rabbi and other members of the community) will develop a plan for next year's holiday decorations at the airport. (AP / CNN)

St Nick has never had this problem: A man who was locked out of his house in one Denver suburb tried to get in by sliding down the chimney last Friday…but he got stuck and had to be rescued. The man, whose name wasn't released, fell about 12 feet down the shaft. Authorities said he was hurt but did not elaborate on the nature and extent of his injuries.He convinced authorities it was his home, and there was no evidence he was breaking in.
Firefighters rescued the man by lowering a ladder into the chimney and lifting him to safety.
