Doctors are saying that it is still too early to make a prognosis on Senator Tim Johnson's condition. The Democrat from South Dakota underwent brain surgery early Thursday morning after suffering a brain hemorrhage on Wednesday. Should Johnson not be able to complete his term, which ends in 2008, South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds, a Republican, could appoint his replacement (likely a Republican) -- which could shift the balance of power in the Senate to 50-50. With Dick Chaney voting to break ties. (CNN)
