Job Alert: The Greensboro Aquatic Center is in need of more than 100 part-time employees. A job fair will take place this afternoon from 4 –til- 7pm at the Greensboro Coliseum's terrace on West Lee Street. Positions needed include: lifeguards, water safety instructors, water technician, exercise and rehabilitation instructors and admission clerks. Employees will start work around July 18. Members of the band Rush of Fools spent Wednesday collecting supplies for the victims in of the recent tornadoes in Birmingham, Alabama. The band members are. The guys from Rush of Fools, all from the Birmingham area, are working with three local churches to collect personal and household supplies that would be distributed to victims. BTW: Third Day and Rush Of Fools will be part of a benefit concert being held in Birmingham this Sunday.


(LOCAL) Wanna help one of the communities in Alabama hard hit by tornadoes two weeks ago? Hope Outreach Church in High Point is filling a transfer truck with relief items and supplies to take to Rainsville, Alabama . Donations will be accepted through next Thursday (May 12). State legislators are taking up legislation that would change women seeking an abortion in the state. The bill would add requirements such as a 24-hour waiting period and an ultrasound of the unborn baby. Currently, North Carolina is one of 16 states that don’t require counseling before an abortion. BTW: On April 29, Governor Beverly Perdue signed a bill to make North Carolina the 36th state in the nation, in addition to the federal government, to provide legal protection and recognition to unborn babies who are injured or die as a result of violent crimes committed against their mothers. HB 215: Unborn Victims of Violence ‘Ethen’s Law’ will go into effect on December 1, 2011. www.ncfamily.org/stories/110502s1.html

President Obama says the White House will NOT release a post-raid photo of Osama bin Laden. The president expressed concern that the photos could incite violence or be used as a propaganda tool. The president's interview with CBS News is scheduled to air on this weekend's edition of "60 Minutes".  BTW: On Sunday, U.S. Navy Seals stormed a fortified 3 story home just north of Pakistan’s capital where bin Laden had been hiding for at least 5 years. Bin Laden has fatally wounded in the raid. (CBS News)


Security is even tighter in New York City with President Obama’s visit to ‘Ground Zero’, the site of the World Trade Center, attacked by terrorists on September 11th, 2001. The President will meet with the families of victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
