Snow in New York is not uncommon…but two feet of snow in October is big news…actually a record. Residents in Buffalo are dealing with downed trees and no power…leaving about 155,000 customers without electricity. Up to 5 more inches of snow is expect around the Buffalo area may fall. (CNN)

Russia and China, members of the UN Security Council, are against imposing sanctions against North Korea for its recent nuclear testing. North Korea is believed to be planning another nuclear test, within the next few days. (www.usaradio.com)

Local spinach farmers are relieved upon learning that the search for the source of a recent deadly E. coli outbreak has been linked to a nearby cattle ranch but health officials say their investigation is far from over. 200 people became sick and 3 deaths associated with Tainted bagged spinach from California.
