Some Trivia: The origin of Bosses Day dates back to 1958. Patricia Bays Haroski, an employee at State Farm Insurance Company in Illinois, registered it with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Haroski chose the date October 16th because it was her father's birthday. Who was her boss? ....Patricia’s father.

The Fall Furniture Market officially starts today in High Point.
The Market brings in $1.2 billion dollars into the local economy.

Traffic Up-Date: (Winston-Salem)
Bridge work on Hanes Mall Blvd will close a portion of both East and West Bound 40 (By-Pass) nightly from 9pm to 5am Tuesday through Friday night. A detour will be in place.

Aftershocks have followed a 6.6 magnitude earthquake that struck Hawaii on Sunday. Hundreds have been evacuated. There have been reports of blackouts and landslides…good news that there should be no threat of a Tsunami. Heavy rain and strong storms throughout the South today. Tornado watches posted for parts of Texas. Residents still digging out in New York. Several school systems in Buffalo, NY have cancelled classes for the rest of the week. (CNN)

President Bush will be visiting the Piedmont on Wednesday.
The President will visit a school in Guilford County, attend a private fundraiser in Randleman plus make a special stop at Victory Junction Gang Camp. (WFMY)

More than 400 riders participated in the Ride to Victory on Sunday afternoon at the Victory Junction Gang Camp raising close to $40,000 to support special-needs kids who attend the camp. (www.victoryjunction.org)
