Mini Earthquake felt in Winston-Salem
If you live in Winston-Salem…you possibly felt your house ‘shake’ this morning. Amy Vaughn with the US Geological Survey saying that a 2.6 ‘mini earthquake’ was detected just before 5am this morning in Forsyth County.

Nothing like the 6.6 magnitude earthquake that struck Hawaii on Sunday. Lots of structural damage but no fatalities. (AP) Thawing out in the Northeast: Residents still digging out in Buffalo, NY (CNN)

The Nation’s Population has mathematically reached 300 Million. The historic milestone happening about 7:46 this morning…39 years after the 200 million mark was reached in 1967. The US Census saying that one person, every 11 seconds to our population. (www.census.gov)

Bridge work on Hanes Mall Blvd will close a portion of both East and West Bound 40 (By-Pass) nightly from 9pm to 5am Tuesday through Friday night. A detour will be in place.
