The High School graduation rate is up slightly for 2007. State data released yesterday showing that close to 70% of North Carolina's public high school students graduated but school officials are still trying to figure out why roughly 30% of students don't graduate High School within four years. http://dpi.state.nc.us/newsroom/news/2006-07/20070228-01

The parents of a 24-day-old infant who suffering from several broken bones have been charged with abuse. Christina Courtner and Chris Daniels were taken into custody yesterday stemming from a Forsyth County sheriff's department investigation.

A deadly bus crash in Texas has claimed 13 lives and injured dozens more. A charter bus was carrying a Vietnamese church group and was traveling from Houston to Missouri. THE FORMER DRIVER FOR OSAMA BIN LADEN HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO FIVE-AND-A-HALF YEARS IN PRISON. The military tribunal hearing the case of Salim Hamdan convicted him earlier this week of providing material support to terrorism. He was acquitted of the more serious charge of conspiracy.

Sharon Brown, a flight attendant with Continental Airlines, is suing Victoria Osteen (the wife of Joel Osteen) alleging that she threw her against a bathroom door and elbowed her before the start of a 2005 flight to Vail, Colorado.
