Falling prices at Wal-Mart could mean savings on your prescriptions…
Retail giant Wal-Mart will begin selling nearly 300 generic prescription drugs at greatly reduced rates…how about $4 dollars for a month’s supply. Walmart will test the generic prescription program first in Florida. (WS JOURNAL)

Local soldier pays the ultimate price: Army Specialist "Bobby" Callahan was fatally wounded while riding in a humvee Tuesday near Baghdad. Callahan age 22 attended Southwest Guilford High School until the 10th grade. He was serving his second tour of duty in Iraq. He got married in January. (WXII + Fox News)

The Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta saying that Americans between the ages of 13 and 64 should have an AIDS test during their annual doctor's visit. The CDC is hoping to Catch HIV Infections Earlier And Stop Spread Of the Virus. (CDC.GOV)

Sunny side up: Two random studies published this week in the Journal of Nutrition found that eating an egg daily helps to promote good eye health without raising cholesterol levels. Experts say that eggs provide two powerful antioxidants that have been shown to protect the retina and reduce the risk of cataracts. (Source: Egg Nutrition News Bureau)

Metro coffee house giant Starbucks saying that it will double it’s locations in 2007. Starbucks will also raise the price of its lattes, cappuccinos and drip coffees by 5 cents this October. (AP)

The annual ‘See You at the Pole’ event (Wednesday…September 27). This year’s theme is “Be still and know that I am God” based on Psalm 46:10. Traffic problem:
In Greensboro: A portion of N Church Street (between Greenbriar Road and Denny Road) will be closed til noon. Greensboro Police say a vehicle hit a utility pole on North Church Street at Greenbriar Road earlier this morning. Power is out in that area as well.
