As of today…Passengers will be allowed to carry liquids on airplanes.
Travelers may bring liquids and everyday items such as shampoo, toothpaste and makeup through security, provided they're stored in 3-ounce containers that fit in a 1-quart clear bag. Also, anything that you can buy in airport shops after passing through security will be allowed on the plane. http://www.tsa.gov/press

Annual existing home prices declined in August for the first time in more than 11 years…as existing home sales fell for a fifth straight month. (The National Association of Realtors)

R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company saying it will appeal a federal judge's decision to grant a class action law suit that could affect tens of millions of "light cigarette" smokers. In question: did tobacco companies imply that ‘light cigarettes’ were safer than regular cigarettes? (AP)

A second bag of spinach contaminated with E.coli bacteria has been found in Utah. Authorities hoping that the latest tainted bag of spinach will help narrow the source of a nationwide E Coli outbreak that has now affected 173 people …92 have been hospitalized...in 25 states. (AP)

A wide variety of studies released this summer showed that children in the U.S. are gaining too much weight, including babies. The problem: Parents!
Nutrition experts agree that children learn unhealthy behaviors from their parents at a very early age. Obesity leads to an increased risk of diabetes, high cholesterol and other health problems. (The Institute of Medicine report the linked USA Today )
