The NC Division of Motor Vehicles is trying to stop fraud and identity theft.The next time you go to renew your driver’s licenses you likely get a piece of paper instead of a normal plastic coated license. You will continue to visit a local DMV office, take tests and get a photo. But drivers will only receive a temporary paper license valid for 20 days. One local gang leader calling for peace in the streets between gangs. At a news conference in Greensboro yesterday, Jorge Cornell, the leader of the Latin King and Queen Nation in North Carolina, has called on other gang leaders to ‘channel’ their energy away from violence and more toward fighting racism.

A North Carolina-based private equity company has made an offer to purchase Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for $7.25 per share. MGL Asset Management Group sent the offer to Krispy Kreme over the weekend. The sale would be valued at more than $500 million dollars.

The Israeli Military reporting that a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed in southern Israel. The latest violence is further straining the fragile cease-fire between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

BEGINNING TODAY THE NETHERLANDS BECOMES THE LATEST EUROPEAN NATION TO BAN SMOKING IN RESTAURANTS, CAFES AND ALL PUBLIC PLACES.
