BRITISH PRIME MINISTER GORDON BROWN IS CALLING ON BRITISH AIRWAYS AND WORKERS TO RESTART TALKS TO AVOID A STRIKE. The threatened twelve-day strike would hit travelers at the height of the holiday season. The disagreement involves pay and working conditions, according to the London Times.

Expect more people on the highways this Christmas into New Years. Triple A is projecting close to 88 million Americans will be travelling 50 miles or more from home over the next two weeks.

A ‘roundabout’ could be one option at one of the busiest intersections in Winston-Salem. The Winston-Salem Journal is reporting that the city is considering a ‘roundabout’ where Miller Street meets Cloverdale Avenue. The goal is to improve pedestrian safety.

Citigroup Inc. will suspend foreclosures and evictions during the holiday season. The ‘suspension’ will run from this Friday through January 17th. The foreclosure suspension applies only to about 4,000 borrowers whose loans are owned by Citi…and borrowers who make payments to Citi.

Roy Disney, the nephew of Walt Disney, passed away yesterday after a yearlong battle with stomach cancer. His father, Roy O.
