A major winter storm is promising to bring a white Christmas to parts of the West and Midwest. The storm is expected to dump more than a foot of snow on parts of Colorado today.

BlackBerry customers finally have their e-mail and Internet back. Services were down for more than eight hours overnight. This was the second such outage for Blackberry users in less than a week.

The parents who pulled off the balloon boy hoax are scheduled to be sentenced today after pleading guilty to charges that they carried out the stunt in October to promote a reality TV show. The husband faces up to 90 days and jail, and the wife faces up to 60 days. The couple could be forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars in restitution over their stunt.

THE SUPREME COURT OF BRAZIL HAS DECIDED TO RETURN A NINE YEAR OLD BOY TO HIS AMERICAN FATHER. Sean Goldman was taken to Brazil five years ago by his mother. The mother passed away last year during childbirth. The mother's family has been fighting to keep the boy in Brazil.

Ninety-one people were taken to the hospital after an American Airlines plane over-ran a runway and crashed into a fence near Kingston, Jamaica. Flight 331 from Miami, Florida, was carrying 148 passengers plus six crew members. There were no fatalities reported.
