Take Action: Support Prayer Appeal in Forsyth County...

Thanks to Dr Steve Corts (Center Grove Baptist Church) for coming into the studio on Thursday morning to talk about this sectarian prayer issue (and the appeal decision) facing the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners.

Next Monday evening, the Forsyth County commissioners are expected to decide whether to appeal a federal judge's ruling that sectarian invocations or prayers that mention Jesus or make other references to a particular faith are unconstitional. Forsyth County Board members are getting swamped with e-mail calling for an appeal, thanks in part to an organized effort by the local N.C. Partnership for Religious Liberty. Here's what you can do (even those outside Forsyth County)...
1. CONTACT DAVE PLYLER by phone (336-413-1102), email (plylerdr@forsyth.cc) or letter (211 Harmon Ln, Kernersville, NC 27284). Ask him to vote for freedom. Ask him to vote for an appeal on FEBRUARY 22, 2010. Let him know religious liberty is priceless. No American court, no government has the right to tell people how they should pray.

2. ATTEND THE FEB 22, 2010 MEETING OF THE FORSYTH COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS. Let your concerns be seen and heard. Be onsite by 5:15pm Monday afternoon (Feb 22). The meeting begins at 6pm and are held on the fifth floor of the Forsyth County Government Center (located at 201 North Chestnut St. in downtown Winston-Salem). Come and stay, even with limited seating and space. Your presence, along with 'thousands' of others, will make a real difference.

3. ENCOURAGE OTHER CONCERNED CITIZENS to do the same. PRAY...
