We may see some snow flurries before precept ending around noon on Saturday. Significant icing is expected with this storm north and west of Winston-Salem. The Backpack Program celebration kick off at Pickett Primary School will take place on Tuesday, February 9th. The event was postponed this week due to the inclement weather and closing of schools. Communities in Schools of Lexington/Davidson County, Pickett Primary School and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina will hold the ceremony this Tuesday, Feb 09th at 4 p.m. in the media center. The program focuses on childhood hunger in rural communities by assisting at-risk children with nutritious, child-friendly food for the weekends during the school year.
