A mom in South Carolina does the unthinkable. Twenty-nine-year-old Shaquan Dudley accused of suffocating two of her children could get the death penalty. The boys (ages one and two) were found earlier in the week strapped into their toddler seats submerged in a river. (RnR)

Two boys are back home safe with their father after they were taken by their mother, who violated a custody arrangement. The boys, Ethan Andrew and Austin Green, both 9 years old , were last seen by their father on June 28 when their mother, who was living in Greensboro at the time, came to pick them up from a home on Old Lexington Road in Winston-Salem. The Greenwood Sheriff’s Department in South Carolina located the boys’ on Monday.

Syndicated radio talk show host Dr. Laura Schles-singer will be leaving her radio program at the end of the year, because she wants her "First Amendment rights back." The announcement comes days after Dr Laura repeatedly used the ‘N’ word while attempting to make a point with an on-air caller. Dr Laura has apologized on her website, saying she was wrong in using the racial slur. FYI: At least one radio sponsor, Motel 6, said it would no longer ‘leave the light on’ well…advertise on the show

Math Counts, a national math competition for teams and individual students in grades 6 - 8, will not allow homeschoolers to form teams and compete in the 2010-2011 school year. The Math Counts board unanimously decided to exclude homeschoolers in response to a few situations in which "super teams" were formed by pulling certain gifted students from public schools and labeling them as homeschool teams. A spokesperson Concerned Women for America : “These examples of cheating have obviously marred the competition, but homeschoolers as a whole should not be completely ‘left out’ of the competition.” Math Counts is comparable to the National Spelling Bee. Winners on a national level are rewarded and meet the president at the White House. www.christiannewswire.com/news/903314714.html
