AS OF 11am: SEVERAL CREEKS REMAIN OUT OF THEIR BANKS ACROSS OUR LISTENING AREA… Flooding in Guilford County: NORTH BUFFALO CREEK AT CHURCH STREET... SOUTH BUFFALO CREEK...AND THE EAST FORK DEEP RIVER. OFFICIALS IN DAVIDSON AND RANDOLPH COUNTIES REPORT FLOODING ALONG SEVERAL ROADS DUE TO HEAVY RAINFALL EARLIER THIS MORNING.

Gusty winds will continue this morning across Central North Carolina including the Triad. With the wet ground, gusty winds could bring down trees. Use caution today while traveling.
As of 9am: The National Weather Service reporting that over 3 inches of rain has fallen in the past 5 hours. Over 7 inches of rain has fallen since midnight. Report flooding to the National Weather Service at (877) 633- 6772

Randolph County Schools were on a 2 hour delay this morning for both staff and students because of the weather conditions.

Thousands of unemployed people in the State have been overpaid. Now, the Employment Security Commission is requesting some of the money back. You can file for a state waiver. Waiver requests are due by Oct. 8 and the ESC will review them individually. If you owe the state money for overpaid unemployment benefits and have questions, you may call (866) 795-8877 or email the agency at esc.ui.customerservice@ncesc.gov.

Actor Tony Curtis has died. He was 85. Curtis passed away at his home of a heart attack. Curtis is the father of Jamie Lee Curtis. (CNN)

(Winston-Salem) Important traffic information for Saturday. If you are planning a trip to the Dixie Classic Fair or to the Wake Forest - Georgia Tech Football game on Saturday (Oct. 2)… a Shuttle Service will be available from First Assembly Church (Winston-Salem First) on University Parkway to a drop-off point in front of the Joel Coliseum. Shuttles will run from 12:30 PM Saturday afternoon through 12:30am Sunday morning. BTW: Shuttle Parking is located on Long Drive off University Parkway behind First Assembly. You will have to pay $8 dollars to park. There is no additional charge to use the shuttle.
