After a year in prison, Sarah Shourd was released from prison after a $500,000 bail was submitted to the Iranian judiciary. An Iranian judge decided to release Shourd because of her medical condition.

Early findings from an autopsy on the infant found abandoned inside a storage bin at the Planned Parenthood building Saturday morning, reveal that the newborn was alive when she was born and did not have any bruising on her body. While traffic fatalities in the state have declined over the past year, deaths involving motorcycles in North Carolina have increased 20%.
