A powerful, gusty winter storm dumped lots of snow across the upper Midwest on Sunday, closing major highways in several states and canceling thousands of flights. At least four deaths have been blamed on the weather.

Because of the weekend winter storm, there will be an extra Monday Night Football game tonight.  The scheduled Monday Night match up between the Ravens and the Texans will be joined by the Vikings and Giants.  The Minnesota Vikings – New York Giants game has been moved to Detroit tonight after the  Metrodome's inflated roof collapsed in a snowstorm early yesterday morning. No one was hurt in the roof collapse.  Vikings QB Brett Farve is doubtful for tonight’s game.  http://sports.myway.com/news/12122010/v4048.html

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin traveled to Haiti over the weekend to survey relief efforts by Samaritan's Purse. Palin, along with her husband Todd and daughter Bristol, joined Franklin Graham as they visited a shelter community built by Samaritan's Purse following last January's deadly earthquake. The Palin’s handed out shoeboxes through Operation Christmas Child. The people of Haiti have endured an earthquake, a hurricane, and now a cholera epidemic…all since January.
