WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange surrendered to London police this morning. Swedish authorities had issued the warrant for Assange so they can talk to him about criminal allegations unrelated to WikiLeaks' recent disclosure of secret U.S. documents. A court appearance is set for later this morning. (CNN)

Police are still looking for a driver of a green 2-door car accused of hitting a child yesterday morning on West Florida Street near Hudgins Drive in Greensboro. Witnesses say that the six year old was crossing the street toward his school bus stop when the hit and run occurred. Good news: the child will make a full recovery. Crime Stoppers # 373-1000.

“Only a couple of weeks to live.” That’s what doctors have told Elizabeth Edwards. She has been battling breast cancer since 2004. The Edwards family in a statement said doctors have told them that further treatment for her cancer would be unproductive. An un-named friend telling the Associated Press that Edwards is gravely ill. An update to Facebook profiles that was rolled out Sunday puts an emphasis on personal details: letting users introduce, or re-introduce, themselves to fellow users more quickly.
