AN EARLY WINTER BLIZZARD ON THE EAST COAST HAS HAULTED HUNDREDS OF FLIGHTS. Thousands of passengers have been stranded since the weekend. Many travelers will still have to wait several more days before going home. A spokesman for the Air Transport Association, which represents the major airlines, tells USA Today it will take days for the system to be back to normal. (RnR)

The winter weather causing some changes in garbage and recycling collection schedules…in both High Point and Greensboro. In Greensboro: Crews will be collecting Monday’s routes today. Tuesday’s collection will be picked up Wednesday. Normal schedule for Thurs. and Fri.
In High Point: yard waste pick-up will start again on Monday, January 3. (Fox8)

Amazon says the third generation Kindle is now the best-selling product in the company's history. Customers report using their LCD tablets for games, movies, and Web browsing and using their Kindles for reading sessions. . RnR

Free wireless Internet access will soon be available at Fisher River Park in Dobson. Why WiFi? SPORTS…High School Basketball tournaments: Day two of the Frank Spencer Holiday Classic…in WS. The Pizza Hut Invitational and Bank of North Carolina Christmas Classic will start today…after winter weather postponed the games on Monday.

Tuesday Night Football (?) The Vikings vs Eagles game that was postponed because of an impending BLIZZARD on Sunday will be played tonight on NBC.

The ‘writing’ is now on his wrist band. Tim Tebow, quarterback for the Denver Broncos, has found a way to ‘minister’ on the field while working around the NFL’s ban on writing in the eye ‘black’. Tebow, a committed Christian, uses football as a platform for ministry has moved scripture messages from his eyes to his wrist band. The Christian Post reporting that during last Sunday’s game against Houston, Tebow wrote Luke 2: 10-11 on his wrist band…the scripture in which the angel announces the birth of Christ. Tebow views his time on the field as a platform to minister to kids who look up to pro football players.  BTW: Tim Tebow is the son of missionaries to the Philippines.
