A student at Walkertown Middle School is in trouble after posting a threat about a teacher to their personal Facebook page. WXII reporting that the student has been removed from the teacher's class. According to school policy, such a threat is punishable by a six day suspension and placement in another school.


Up to six major storms possible. That’s the prediction from government forecasters regarding the upcoming Atlantic Hurricane Season which officially begins on June 1st. Last year's hurricane season was one of the busiest on record with 19 named storms, including 12 hurricanes. FYI: No major hurricanes have made landfall along the US coast in the last five years.  (CNN)


PRESIDENT OBAMA SAYS ISRAEL AND THE PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES MUST RETURN TO THEIR PRE-1967 BORDERS IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE PEACE. That statement came during a speech on Thursday. The president said that Israel and Palestine must exist as two states. That would mean that Israel would have to give back the West Bank and the Gaza Strip to the Palestinians. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Obama will meet at the White House today.


Two remain on American Idol: Scotty and Lauren.   Scotty McCreery, the smooth, country twanging baritone, is from Garner, NC…a suburb of Raleigh in Wake County. Over the weekend, thousands of fans came out in support of the 17 year old student that bags groceries at Lowes Foods in Garner.

NETFLIX IS NOW THE ‘SINGLE BIGGEST SOURCE’ OF INTERNET TRAFFIC IN THE U.S. According to an internet monitoring firm, the website for Netflix in March accounted for 30% of downstream traffic at peak times…indicating a tremendous increase in the number of people who go to the internet for their entertainment. YouTube remains the biggest video streaming site in the world.

An elderly woman was killed in a two-car crash on Peters Creek Parkway last night in Winston-Salem. 86-year-old Emma Lou Everhart-Joynes died due to injuries in the crash. JUST ONE DAY AWAY FROM WHAT ONE CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION FROM CALIFORNIA SAYS IS THE END OF THE WORLD.  Have you seen the Judgment Day billboards and mobile signs? Well, the group behind the message, Family Station Worldwide (headquartered in Oakland, California) is a non-profit organization headed by Harold Camping. Camping and his group say that Judgment Day will happen this Saturday, May 21, 2011.  FYI: Camping had predicted that the world would end back in 1994.
