Graduation day this morning at Wake Forest University. The Demon Deacon Class of 2011 wore eco-friendly caps and gowns made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. This new line of graduation wear, named "Green Weaver" is made of fabric spun from molten plastic pellets. BTW: It takes an average of 23 plastic bottles to make each gown.
Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee saying that he will NOT run for President. Huckabee made his announcement Saturday night during his Fox News TV show, saying that his ultimate decision was NOT a political one, but a spiritual one. (Fox News)
One worker died, another worker was taken to the hospital after falling from a Ferris Wheel early this morning in Greensboro. Workers were dismantling the rides, including the Ferris Wheel, at the Greensboro Coliseum parking lot all part of the Greensboro Youth Council's Carnival that ended on Sunday. The carnival rides were provided by a company out of Atlanta.
Rev Billy Graham back at home, after 5 days in the hospital in Asheville. The 92 year old Evangelist was admitted last Wednesday morning for complications with pneumonia.
UPDATE: The newspaper seller who was run over by a tractor-trailer last week on Stratford Road in Winston-Salem has been up-graded to stable condition over the weekend. Donald Daniels has undergone two surgeries since his accident last Thursday.
