A ‘wild ride’ for students when their school bus overturned this morning in Northern Davidson County (near Midway).   31 students were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after their school bus (#340) overturned near the intersection of Norman Shoaf Road and Tom Livengood Road around 7:45am this morning.  Meredith Palmer with the Davidson County Schools confirming that the kids on board were on their way to Midway Elementary school.
An eyewitness on the scene telling Fox 8 that "The kids were more worried about their shoes and bookbags left on the bus. Some were worried that their mom (or Dad) would be upset."

The residents of Joplin, Missouri could see more severe weather today.  Joplin was devastated by a deadly tornado on Sunday. Good News: Rescuers pulled 17 people out of the rubble on Monday. The death toll stands at 116.  BTW: Sunday’s tornado that hit the Joplin area was the nation's deadliest single twister in nearly 60 years.  (The Weather Channel)


Missed it by 5 months? Harold Camping is now saying that ‘Judgment Day’ will happen on October, 21, 2011. Camping is the 89 year-old founder of a California-based Radio ministry who had predicted that the rapture was to happen this past Saturday. Camping also predicted the end of the world back in 1994.
Will Graham, the grandson of Evangelist Billy Graham and the oldest son of Franklin Graham responded to Camping’s prediction while speaking to thousands attending an outreach at the Jersey Shore over the weekend.  Will telling the crowd that “the end of the world is coming. We just don’t know the time of it. Heaven and Hell are very much real. You have to prepare."

FOX:  Two singers remain on American Idol: Scotty and Lauren. 
Tonight @ 8pm: Final competition and voting. Wednesday @ 8pm the Finale and the winner announced. 
Personally, I'm rooting for Scotty McCreery, the smooth, country twanging baritone, from Garner, NC, a suburb of Raleigh in Wake County. Scotty is a 17 year old student who bagged groceries at the Lowes Foods in Garner…before his appearance on American Idol.


Members of the David Crowder Band are going their separate ways to pursue individual projects. The announcement, posted on the band’s website, saying that the decision to part ways as a band will not affect this fall's ‘The 7 Tour’. The David Crowder Band, formed in 2000, is working on a sixth CD project. The future seems bright with this message from the band…

Congratulations to Chris Tomlin who recently won two Billboard Music Awards. Tomlin was named Top Christian Artist and his song "Our God" was named Top Christian Song. Earlier this year, Tomlin’s "Our God" won a Dove Award for Worship Song of the Year. http://www.christomlin.com/

More flights have been cancelled across Europe because of that volcano in Iceland that has been spewing ash clouds nearly seven miles into the air since Saturday. The ash clouds could make their way over Ireland, Britain, France and Spain.  CNN


The Prime Minister of Israel will address a joint session of Congress. Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly stated that Israel cannot return to pre-1967 borders as suggested by President Obama last week.  (Fox News)
