FREE School Supplies for Teachers in Guildford County!

Public school teachers in the United States spent more than $1.33 billion dollars (an average of $300 dollars or more) a year on school supplies for their own classrooms.

"The Teacher Supply Warehouse" on Yanceyville Street in Greensboro has school supplies for teachers. You can donate items as well.  Here is a link to more info: http://www.guilfordeducationalliance.org/support/teacher-warehouse.phps

FYI: Teachers in Forsyth County will (soon) have a similar program offering FREE school supplies to take advantage of as well!
Here is the deal…The Educator Warehouse is located at Diggs-Latham Elementary School off Peters Creek Parkway. There will be a website to make an appointment, up to 40 teachers a day. Each teacher gets 25 points per quarter. You can spend all 25 points at once, or split up your points into multiple visits during the quarter. This is a partnership with Forsyth Education Partnership and WS/FCS Council of PTAs (County PTA). While donations have been given, set up and are ready... there are still a lot of details to work out to make this run smoothly. It will open as soon as possible. This has been two years in the making and was inspired from Greensboro's model. (The proposed hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:30-6:30. Volunteers will be working during these hours to help the teachers.) More details soon…
