Starting this year, every high school in the Winston-Salem / Forsyth County school district will have its own certified athletic trainer.  The school district got the extra trainers through a partnership with Forsyth Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  Fox 8 reporting that each hospital will pay the salaries of six athletic trainers, as well as the cost of supplies to properly treat the teams.  The only cost to the school district is displaying advertising space for the hospitals in their athletic facilities.
