Investigators in Guildford County have identified "persons of interest" in the fire that they say was intentionally set at Eastern Guilford High School. Sheriff BJ Barnes said that investigators have interviewed more than 100 people in connection with the November first fire at Eastern Guilford which destroyed the school. (wxii / fox8)

Counterfeit items were seized from one store and 2 kiosks at Hanes Mall.

Doctors at Duke University suggesting there may be hope for children with deadly allergies to foods such as peanuts and eggs.
Researchers are working to treat food allergies by giving kids tiny amounts of the foods that make them sick.
As a warning…parents should not try to desensitize children with severe food allergies on their own. The results of the study will be published in January.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has removed all nine of its Christmas trees instead of adding a Jewish menorah. A local rabbi had threatened legal action. An airport spokeswoman said the Christmas tree removal was made out of respect. The airport said if a menorah were added, it would have been required to add symbols for other religions and cultures in the Northwest.
A spokesperson for the airport said that the staff didn't have time to be cultural anthropologists this time of the year. (AP)

Nextel Cup champion Jimmie Johnson broke his left wrist on Friday when he fell out of a golf cart during a celebrity tournament. The injury will prevent him from driving for at least four weeks. The injury was to his non-shifting hand. He should be able to participate in preseason testing at Daytona International Speedway next month.Johnson said…"I was in a golf cart and the driver took a sharp turn…and I fell out." (AP)
