Two French tourists (a father and daughter) are still missing after the evacuation of a Greek cruise ship that struck a reef near the Greek island of Santorini.
16-hundred passengers on board…77 students from Paisley Middle school in Winston-Salem were among 128 students from NC on board the cruise ship Sea Diamond. CNN saying that the cruise ship has sunk. (CNN)

Better late than never: The North Carolina Senate has apologized for the Legislature's role in promoting slavery and Jim Crow laws that denied basic human rights to the state's black citizens. Thursday's move follows the lead of Virginia, which passed a similar measure earlier this year. A similar resolution is pending in the state House. http://www.wxii12.com/index.html

One central Ohio school district will not be calling on this substitute teacher again, after school officials said she used clothespins to silence four chatty kindergartners. The ‘Sub’ Ruth Ann Stoneburner reprimanded the 4 youngsters by putting spring-type clothespins on their lips for talking too much in class.
Stoneburner has been permanently suspended.

You may want to think twice about giving a baby chick or duckling as part of your Easter basket this Sunday morning:
A recent CDC report stating that a recent salmonella outbreak has been traced back to baby poultry. The CDC recommends that children younger than 5 years of age should not be allowed to handle baby birds of any type.
