Former players, fellow ACC coaches and Wake fans are among those expressing sorrow at the loss of Wake Forest basketball coach Skip Prosser. Prosser died yesterday afternoon from a massive heart attack. He was 56. Residents in the Latham Park neighborhood of Greensboro were greeted with a loud explosion Thursday afternoon. City contractors are blasting rock in the park in order to install new sewer lines. A Federal study says that rural students perform better in science than urban students. At all grade levels, rural students did better on national science tests than children in cities and performed about the same as suburban students.
