Residents in Greensboro are currently under voluntary water restrictions. Officials are urging everyone to do their part to save and conserve water. The western portion of our state is still under extreme drought conditions. Just 2 weeks ago…all 100 counties in North Carolina were experiencing some level of drought. http://www.ncdrought.org/

The High Point City Council voted in favor of non-sectarian prayer on Monday night. But the public is upset that the public comment portion of the meeting was held after the vote was taken. Mayor Becky Smothers said the council could revisit the issue after seeing how Forsyth County fares in its legal challenge with the ACLU on sectarian prayer.

Authorities say that a Virginia woman lost her life during an early morning accident yesterday on I-85 near Lexington. Carolyn Mills was traveling NB on 85 at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her car and crossed the median hitting a UPS truck going SB on 85.
