Rain?? Spotty showers possible for the Triad.

A storm brewing in the Gulf just west of Tampa, Florida continues to bring heavy rain and thunderstorms to parts of the Florida Panhandle and southern Georgia. Residents in Louisiana are keeping an eye on this storm. (http://www.weather.com/)

Two students were shot at Delaware State University early this morning. The campus was locked down as police continue their search for the gunman. Classes have been cancelled today at Delaware State University. (CNN)

A large but peaceful demonstration in Jena, Louisiana on Thursday. Thousands of people from across the country traveled to the small Louisiana town in support of the six black teenagers known as the ‘Jena 6’.

Sesame Street heading to China…The maker of Big Bird and Elmo will send auditors to factories and stores in China to check for lead and other problems in the toys. Last month, Mattel recalled nearly 1 million toys -- including 400,000 Sesame Street licensed toys -- because of lead contamination. About 80% of the $22 billion dollars in toys sold each year are imported from China. (FOX NEWS)

There will be a benefit concert for the Pollard Family tonight at the Clemmons Civic Center (across from Volglers Funeral Home) at 6:30pm. The Pollard family were seriously injured in a car accident back in August. Details at http://www.wbfj.fm/.
