The New York Times reporting that wireless giant Verizon is saying NO to a pro-abortion text messaging plan from NARAL to its supporters.
Verizon says it has the right to block controversial or unsavory text messages.The newspaper saying that other wireless providers have agreed to let NARAL use their networks.

Kolcraft Enterprises is recalling a dozen different models of its play yards playpens. Close to 425-thousand Kolcraft playpens are being recalled.

A second day of demonstrations in the country of Burma has turned deadly.
‘Christian Solidarity Worldwide’ (based in London) reporting that Burma has been one of the world’s worst and most under-reported for human rights violations for many years.
Tens-of-thousands of Buddhist monks, nuns, and other people have been demonstrating peacefully for nearly a month against the military regime that rules Burma

Teaneck officials in New Jersey will meet with parents who are fuming after police ticketed middle schoolers for jaywalking. Some of the Thomas Jefferson Middle School students are as young as 11. About half a dozen students were returned to school in police cars so their parents could be notified. Principal of the school says students were warned to stay on the sidewalk.Police say they are responding to complaints from neighbors.
