Several residents in the Abington Creek subdivision of Kernersville were coming down with symptoms of nausea and fatigue last week…now been told their water is contaminated. Tests showed harmful bacteria in the water.

Former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson has dropped out of the Presidential race yesterday citing poor showings in early primary and caucus states.

An autopsy is scheduled for today for actor Heath Ledger. Ledger was found unresponsive yesterday in his Manhattan apartment.The 28-year-old Australian-born actor leaves behind a two-year-old daughter. Ledger had just finished filming the role as the Joker in "The Dark Knight," the latest installment in the Batman series. The film is to open in July. Ledger was also in ‘The Patriot’ (with Mel Gibson)

Chain restaurants in New York must begin posting calorie information on their menus beginning March 31st. The regulation approved by New York City’s Board of Health yesterday applies to restaurant chains that operate 15 or more outlets nationwide.

Whole Foods is phasing out traditional disposable plastic grocery bags. The decision covers all of the company's 270 stores in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom. Whole Foods says it wants to stop using the plastic bags by Earth Day, April 22.
