An atheist group has put up ‘anti-God’ billboards along a major interstate highway in Philadelphia. The billboards read "Don't believe in God? You are not alone." Norma McCorvey — known as Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade — has just finished her first ‘pro-life’ television spot. As Jane Roe, Norma became the icon for the pro-abortion movement. Now, as a Christian, McCorvey wants to be known for protecting life.
Norma says in the TV ad, “In 1973, I was a very confused 21-year-old, with one child, and facing an unplanned pregnancy. At the time, I fought to obtain a legal abortion, but truth be told, I have three daughters and have never had an abortion.” McCorvey says that being involved in Roe v. Wade was the biggest mistake of her life. http://www.citizenlink.org/content/A000007684.cfm

Donations gladly accepted: An old painting dropped off at a rural Goodwill store near Easton, Maryland turned out to be a valuable work of art. The painting which was left at the store in March (along with pots, pans, old clock radios and other items) turned out to be a work by French Impressionist Edouard-Leon Cortes, probably from the early 20th century.
The painting - called "Marche aux fleurs" or "Flower Market" - was sold at auction for over $40,000 dollars recently.
Store manager Terri Tonelli said employees asked her to look at the donated painting because they suspected it was valuable. She found the artist's name on the painting …did the ‘Google’ and discovered that Cortes was a notable French Impressionist whose work had sold at auction for prices near $60,000.
Goodwill says it doesn't keep track of donors. Donations, meanwhile, are gifts that are considered legal and final transactions. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080625/D91H8HM84.html
