A House committee has approved a plan that would make it illegal for children and teenagers under 16 from riding in the open bed of a pickup truck. Chicago-style pizzas headed to troops in Iraq
Mark Evans wanted to send a taste of Chicago to troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. So he's doing it deep-dish pizza-style. The Retired Air Force Sgt. from Elk Grove Village, Illinois has arranged for around 3,000 pizzas to be frozen, packed in dry ice and shipped to the Middle East in time for the Fourth of July. His 16-year-old son, Kent, came up with the idea.
DHL Global has volunteered to ship the pizzas from Lou Malnati's Pizzeria.

The Northwest North Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross has put together a cool camp for the summer. Babysitter’s Boot Camp is designed for students ages 11-15. Campers will get babysitter training, infant and child CPR, First Aid basics plus Master of Disaster training. The weeklong day camps are going on in July and August.
