Update: Dense Fog Advisory through noon

Traffic is slow but moving: One lane is back open along a portion of Highway 52 SB and Highway 66 in Forsyth County. Both southbound lanes should be open by noon. Crews worked overnight to clean up the crash site. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar celebrating the birth of child #18 (it’s a girl) delivered by C-section on Thursday (Dec 18). Little ‘Jordyn-Grace Makiya Duggar’ weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and 20 inches long. Commissioners in Forsyth County have rejected a bid to settle a lawsuit by the ACLU. The 2007 lawsuit challenges the constitutionality of allowing sectarian prayer (or praying to a specific deity) before board meetings.

Allen Joines will run for a third term as Winston-Salem's mayor. CONSERVATIVE POLITICAL LEADER PAUL WEYRICH passed away early Thursday morning after years of poor health. Wyrich was one of the founders of the Heritage Foundation and is credited with coining the name ‘moral majority’. Paul Weyrich was 66.
