CHILD-RELATED RECALLS: The Consumer Product Safety Commission saying that Evenflo is recalling about 95-thousand of its Majestic High Chairs. The Regal Lager Corporation is recalling 16-hundred of its Phil and Ted’s Dash Buggy Strollers and the Xtreme Toy Zone is recalling about 480 toy dinosaurs. Slow sales and no bailout in sight...CHRYSLER WILL SHUT DOWN ALL OF ITS MANUFACTURING FACILITIES FOR AT LEAST ONE MONTH BEGINNING THIS FRIDAY.
The cost-cutting move will affect nearly 46 thousand workers. Chrysler normally shuts down its factories between Christmas through New Year's Day.Ford Motor Company will add a week to its usual two week factory shutdown. The Detroit Free Press

-Semi-conductor maker RF Micro Devices plans to eliminate 250 employees.
-Automotive Motors is closing its Thomasville facility and eliminating 82 jobs.

An explosion Tuesday afternoon in Winston-Salem blew the living room of a house on Forest Drive into the back yard. The fire was quickly extinguished, but not before the home suffered $65,000 in property damage. Two adults and two teenagers who live in the home were not at home at the time of the blast. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.

Some liberal groups are not very happy about President –Elect Barack Obama’s choice of Rick Warren, senior pastor of Saddleback church in California, to deliver the invocation at the upcoming inauguration. A man dressed up as Santa Claus has been added to the ‘naughty list’?
A New York City traffic agent gave Chip Cafiero a ticket while he stopped to deliver gifts to children in Brooklyn on Black Friday’. The 60-year-old retired schoolteacher was riding a horse-drawn carriage and handing out toys and candy canes.
