Christmas Recall: Three Christmas cocoa products are being recalled because they may contain the industrial chemical melamine. The cocoa products are sold nationwide at Shopko and Big Lots. The products were voluntarily recalled by the Canadian company Dorsey Marketing Inc. University of North Carolina President Emeritus William Friday is recovering after suffering a minor heart attack last week. Friday, 88, attributed the episode to eating too much salt and too much fat, and he said he has adjusted his diet. www.wral.com/news/news_briefs/story/4186754/

ARCHAEOLOGISTS HAVE UNEARTHED MORE THAN 250 ANCIENT GOLD COINS IN JERUSALEM NATIONAL PARK. The Israel Antiquities Authority says it is one of the largest and most impressive coin finds ever discovered in Jerusalem. The coins are believed to be about 13-hundred years old. They were found in an excavation being conducted in a car park, in the City of David, in the walls around Jerusalem National Park.

Slow Down and Don’t Drink and Drive: The state Highway Patrol will be out in force between now and New Year Day. BTW: 27 people were killed (over 1,100 injured) last year between Christmas and New Year's Day. Speeding was blamed for many of the accidents.

Crossroads Community Church, a mega church in Cincinnati, is grieving the loss of one of its members who was killed during a Christmas service. 23-year old Keri Shryock fell 25 feet to her death during a Christmas presentation last week. Keri was suspended in a harness high off the floor when she fell.Police have reportedly determined the incident was an accident caused by equipment failure.
