Over the weekend, shoppers spent more money on Black Friday than last year. The National Retail Federation says spending for the weekend was up by 7.2%...nearly 41 billion dollars in sales. Shoppers spent an average of $372.57.

Tensions are high between India and Pakistan after the terrorist attacks in Mumbai last week that killed over 170 people. Day to Day activity is slowly getting back to normal in India’s financial hub. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice urging Pakistan to fully cooperate in the ongoing investigation. Today is ‘World Aids Day’: Pastor Rick Warren will present President Bush with the first International Medal of Peace. The award, from the Saddleback Civil Forum on Global Health, recognizes President Bush for his work combating HIV and AIDS around the world. Rick Warren says the president's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief has saved millions of lives in the past five years.
