The Fall Furniture Market officially starts this morning in High Point.
80,000 people expected to visit the Fall Market which runs through the weekend.
Expect much heavier traffic volume as you make your way into the downtown area. Traffic: Commerce Street shutdown near the IHF Building and Showplace in downtown High Point except for shuttle traffic.

Food Lion store recalling specific containers of milk not appear to be a food safety issue, but rather a quality one. Apparently, several customers complained that the milk was spoiling earlier than it should. The milk in question has been taken off the shelves. State laws that take effect today: Higher fines for certain air polluters with penalties going up from 10,000 to $25,000 dollars a day. Also, no smoking in nursing homes and other adult long term care facilities.
