Act of terrorism? The U.S. Embassy in Athens, Greece was hit by a rocket this morning. The embassy was occupied at the time but no one was hurt. The shell landed on the third floor. It's the first major attack against a U.S. target in Greece since 1996. (usaradio.com)

Eight people were charged with impeding traffic during an Anti War Protest yesterday afternoon in Greensboro. Protesters gathered near the intersection of Elm and East Market streets then took their protest into the streets…blocking traffic. (wxii.com)

Former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton have proposed the establishment of a broadly inclusive alternative Baptist movement to counter what they called a negative image of Baptists and to address poverty, the environment, and global conflicts. The Baptist Press reporting that Carter and Clinton will host a “Celebration of a New Baptist Covenant,” tentatively set for the end of January (Jan. 30-Feb. 1) at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Leaders from the Southern Baptist Convention were not invited to attend. (baptistpress.com)

So how’s your pastor coping with the pressures of job, family and congregation? A Canadian study recently compiled by Knox College and the University of Toronto revealed that members of the Clergy are struggling with major feelings of loneliness and exhaustion.
-Most clergy feel more like a CEO rather than a pastor.
-The study also found a “high” level of depression among clergy – double the rate found in the general population.
