President Bush will address the Nation tonight at 9…Topic: New stragedy in Iraq

In April, the DMV will start replacing existing license plates with an updated version. The new standard plates for private automobiles will continue the "First in Flight" design, but will carry red letters and numbers rather than the blue letters and numbers now in use. Apple debuted its much-anticipated take on the smart phone. The i-phone, thinner than the Motorola RAZR, has a large screen that combines a phone, an iPod and instant messaging. Cingular Wireless has a multiyear, exclusive agreement to provide U.S. service for the iPhone starting in June. The gas-like odor that hung over a portion of New York city is gone, but city officials are still trying to pinpoint where the odor originated. Officials in New York City are speculating that the odor came from New Jersey. About a dozen people were taken to hospitals complaining of difficulty breathing. City and federal officials say there was no indication that the air was unsafe. (CNN)

The suspected al Qaeda terrorist who planned the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in east Africa has been killed during an American airstrike in Somalia.
The embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania fatally wounded 225 people.

Boston, Mass, facing a spike in gun violence and murders, will press the new Democratic-led House of Representatives to come up with tougher national gun laws. In September, the FBI released 2005 figures showing violent crime rising 2.3 percent, the first increase in four years. In the Senate, the bill S - 1 would limit US citizens' ability to express their views to the very officials they sent to office to represent them.
