UPDATE: Police arresting a second suspect in the murder of
UNC student body President Eve Carson. 17-year-old Lawrence Alvin Lovett, Jr was taken into custody after a 4 hour standoff early this morning. 21-year-old Demario Atwater, of Durham, was arrested early yesterday morning. Authorities have charged both suspects with first-degree murder. UNC student body president Eve Carson was found dead on a street about a mile from campus last Wednesday.
