Increased Fire Danger today for all of central North Carolina (including the Triad)

Firefighters are still battling a wildfire on Sauratown Mountain in Stokes County. The N.C. Division of Forest Resources said that the fire that started on the south side of sauratown about 5:30 p.m yesterday afternoon. As of late last night…about 25 acres had burned.
The American Red Cross has set up an emergency shelter for those displaced by the wildfire. Volunteers are helping feed over 200 emergency personnel including firefighters at the Sauratown Fire Department. http://www.journalnow.com/

Delta Air Lines may cancel even more flights because of voluntary inspections. Delta became the second airline to cancel flights yesterday because of inspections. American Airlines canceled 200 flights -- nearly 10% of its schedule. Delta is rebooking flights and covering the cost of hotel and food for passengers on canceled flights. (CNN)

The Ford Motor Company has agreed to sell its JAGUAR AND LAND ROVER brands to India's Tata Motor Company. Tata is BEST known as the manufacturer of a 25-hundred dollar subcompact car, known as the Nano…sold in India and other countries, but not here in the U.S.

Senator Hillary Clinton will make a campaign stop in Winston-Salem later today.

Here’s a cool thing to do…for the next few evenings you can see the International Space Station crossing the sky in our area. The International Space Station will actually look like a very bright, moving star. It moves faster than an airplane….but is much brighter and bigger than an airplane light. North Davidson defeated Randleman 2-0 on Tuesday giving Coach Mike Lambros his 600th victory as a softball coach. Coach Lambros is in his 28th season as the head softball coach of the Lady Black Knights.
