THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A HARD FREEZE WARNING FOR THE GULF COAST AND NORTHERN THROUGH CENTRAL FLORIDA. Frosted oranges and strawberries encased in ice: just some of the images coming out of Florida. Another sizable industry that has suffered more than any other because of this year’s unusually long cold snap — tropical fish. The little guys are dying by the millions. The freezing temperatures have come at the worst possible time. A man and a young boy are in critical condition at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after they were hit by a truck while riding horses in Davidson County Sunday night. Authorities have not filed any charges yet, but the investigation is ongoing.
