MARK MCGWIRE HAS ENDED MORE THAN A DECADE OF SPECULATION WHEN HE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT HE USED STEROIDS DURING MUCH OF HIS MAJOR LEAGUE PLAYING CAREER. In 1998, McGwire broke Major League Baseball's single-season home run record. However, he insisted that he took the substances only to aid in his recovery from injury and only in low doses. Harris Teeter is challenging all participating Together in Education schools to hum, strum, march, sing, and vote their way toward a $12,500 dollar cash prize by creating their rendition of the “my harris teeter” jingle during the Harris Teeter ‘Sing My Jingle’ contest. Jingle entries uploaded on http://www.jingle.harristeeter.com/ will be judged by both a panel of Harris Teeter judges and the general public. The winning school selected by the panel of Harris Teeter judges will receive a $10,000 cash prize. Additional cash prizes will be awarded.
Schools can start submitting their Jingle entries starting today through March 31, 2009.
